PWG RANGE FOUNDING MEMBER
Hello friends. I’ve been a patron of PWG Range for a number of years and want to share with you some of my thoughts about this range. I first stepped into this small shop after work one day looking for inventory on guns and ammunition. Little did I know, that day was the start of a long relationship. I discovered that PWG Range had inventory on hand when most shops didn’t, including the usual chain stores. Even better was the fact that their prices were reasonable. I appreciated that and reword their fair pricing with my repeat business.
What continues to draw me into the store is the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly people I meet while visiting. PWG Range has become a place where I spend as much time surveying inventory and visiting with their staff as I do on the range. Not long after discovering what would become my favorite gun shop, I learned about the firearms training PWG Range offered. Like many people, I learned how to shoot from my father. He was a competitive shooter in the Navy. However, he was a bullseye shooter. Bullseye shooting is a slow, deliberate shooting style. Thanks to him, I can shoot very well going slow, yet it had been an interest of mine to learn how to draw a handgun or rifle in a fast paced tactical setting. The classes PWG Range offered was exactly what I was looking for.
I have been training with their very qualified, vetted instructors since October 2013. Since then, I’ve trained with them on handgun, rifle and shotgun tactics with emphasis on safety while honing a winning mindset, along with efficient and effective weapons manipulations. It is my desire to excel at my craft and I make it clear to my instructors that I want critical evaluation of my performance at every stage of the class, even when I’m getting quite tired. The instructors here are great people and I consider them my friends, but hear me, when you ask them to be hard and critical, they will gladly accommodate you. Trust me on that.
There are many gun shops in town to choose from, but for me, I feel there’s just one choice. This is why I became a Founding Member of PWG Range.

The PWG Range and store are both amazing.
The facility is great and has so much to offer. The retail staff is nothing short of awesome. They are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and always make me feel welcome.
The Training / Range Staff is great, as well. The skills and knowledge they share in classes are amazing at all levels and their primary concerns of safety for everyone involved does not go unnoticed. They teach and train from a worldwide range of experience and make learning safe, fun, and confident.

Thank you and your team for this wonderful “Quite event” last night. Great time. Really enjoyed seeing everyone, meeting new people and of course the wonderful display of firepower. Personally this was my first experience with suppressors it was eye opening. Lower recoil, obviously quieter, which was a surprise when shooting the 40 cal rifle that sounded like a 22 cal at best, and even my accuracy seemed improved a small amount with the Glock, maybe its the extra length in the barrel??? What a delight to fire the 50.
Thank you for making this happen and giving us all the opportunity to enjoy all aspects of the evening. You really have a wonderful team of people that always go out of their way to make us feel welcome, to educate and keep an eye on safety. I could really name a few standouts, Omarie, Rich, Adam, Mark…..but I would most likely name everyone. Really, the whole team, everyone works very hard from sales to training and seems to genuinely care about people. Thanks for making the club a wonderful place to be apart of. Love your dream and your leadership. I know there are a lot of people that just complain, So please know there are others that are very thankful for all you do. Please feel free to share this with the group as I really do mean what I am writing, it is very refreshing to have such a high caliber operation and people in these selfish and troubled times.

The Handgun I course provided a solid training platform for shooters of various skill sets. Beginning with fundamentals, the curriculum evolved so that each lesson and drill provided a foundation for the next lesson and drill. Throughout the course, speed, accuracy, and ability were always emphasized. Regardless of experience levels, expect to be challenged and exposed to new information helpful in continuing skill development. To great satisfaction, the instructors, each with operator level backgrounds, focused on participant safety and brought with them a passion to impart their knowledge and experience to each student. At day’s end, each participant walked away with a sense of accomplishment, increased confidence, and improved abilities. I look forward to continuing training with Archangel/PWG Range.

It was my wife that bought me a Platinum Membership to PWG Range for my birthday almost a year ago. I was not so sure I would actually use it that often however once again she was right and I was wrong, I am retired I sometimes drop by the range several times a week.Weapons and Gear!
Since becoming a member of PWG Range I have added four firearms to a relatively empty gun safe. After consulting many of my friends and family who are far more experienced with firearms than I am I purchased my first rifle with optics. I received all kinds of advice on where to buy a rifle and components on-line. In the end I purchased everything from PWG Range and had your gunsmith mount the scope because of all the help I received from your employees. They spent so much time listening to my needs and answering questions for me that I decided regardless of cost I wanted to buy my rifle from the people that had assisted me the most. I have no regrets!
PWG Range is the finest facility I have ever been to. Its service is matched by none. Congratulations on creating the best equipped and safely operated range of its kind!

I do really enjoy your range, the people are the best of any range I’ve ever been to, many of whom I’d like to consider friends. They treat me like how I want to treat others which makes a great place. As a professionally trained instructor, I can attest that the classes are top tier, I’ve taken most of them and thoroughly enjoy each class. Safety and at the same time an enjoyable experience are managed in such way as to not clash; which is really a testament of the focus of the management to meet clients needs. Great people, and wonderful environment.

I’ve taken several handgun and carbine training courses offered by PWG Range. I did so to increase my proficiency and knowledge and thus my ability to safely use my weapons for both recreation and potential self-defense purposes. I highly recommend these courses to those at any skill level – beginner, experienced shooter or law enforcement. The instructors have extensive practical law enforcement and/or military experience. There is a very strong emphasis on safety, proficient weapons handling and effective shooting techniques. While the instructors are well versed in all the latest jargon, they shape the courses around personal instruction suited to the students. Their aim is training – not showing off as “gun guys”. The courses improved my shooting tremendously. And as evidenced by my repeat attendance (and plans for more in the future) they are also a lot of fun.

After taking Archangel’s Handgun Tactics Level 1, the Instructors were highly professional, personal and very informative. In between times of going hot on range, the lecturing side was very descriptive, provided paper work to take home and gave tips to reiterate what you learn in this class when you’re out practicing in the range. This course is based on a real life situations, how your body reacts under stress and for me was shooting when protecting my child. The Instructors accentuate on how to survive in a gun fight through situational awareness and how to effectively use your weapon system when in need. After serving in the military, taking this class was not only a great foundation but also dismissed bad habits from what I was trained on. I intend to take part in future classes and strongly recommend all my family and friends to get in on this course.

Having a gun and owning a gun are two different things. I figured this out the minute I entered Handgun Level 1. Growing up in Texas I had had numerous encounters with weapons and hunting, but never to this degree. In Handgun Level 1 I learned how to use my weapon as a precision tool; an extension of my body that will allow me to protect myself if ever need be. The expertise of John Phillips and his instructors brought an entirely new definition to the term “weapons training” for me, and has allowed me to feel very confident with my abilities after taking Handgun Level 1 (twice), Handgun Level 2, and Carbine Level 1. Each class builds on itself and challenges you to enter a level you never thought possible. I take at least one class a year to refine my skills and to continue to grow in my weapons training. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and knowledge base of the instructors at PWG Range!
