The purpose of this course is to give the student/shooter a perspective of the aggressor as opposed to avoiding confrontation. The scenario would encompass the threat being presented to another occupant of the residence and having to confront the intruder in protection of a child or loved one. The course would cover holster draw, high compressed, or low ready process before engaging the intruder. The course would also outline the use of light. The proper way to use ambient light, light attachment or handheld flashlight. The course will cover malfunctions, being able to always know the condition of the firearm and how to avoid and address failures such as double feeds, stovepipes, short stroke etc.
The overall goal of the course would be to make the student comfortable with entering a bedroom or adjacent living area and confronting a would be intruder/assailant in a confident manner and attempting to diffuse a situation or use the proper level of force needed to stop a threat or assault upon a loved one, while simultaneously being aware of danger areas such as the corners of a room (90 degrees) and other obstacles that are unique to the students home.

Level: Advanced
Prerequisites: Understanding of California Castle Doctrine law, Handgun Next Steps, Holster Certified or Current CCW. (Applicants for this class should have a good understanding of handgun safety and marksmanship. Applicants should be able to demonstrate loading and reloading of magazines into the weapon.)
Required Gear: Comfortable closed-heel, closed-toe shoes, eye and ear pro, PERSONAL HANDGUN AS ONE WILL NOT BE PROVIDED FOR THE CLASS, minimum of 2 magazines (4 Magazines preferred), and 100 rounds of ammunition.
