If you have a passion for teaching people about safe firearms ownership and use, then PWG wants you to be a part of our Instructor Team. PWG Range (www.pwgrange.com) is seeking a Firearms Instructor to join our training department. PWG trains over 7,000 students a year in a multitude of classes ranging from introduction to firearms, personal protection in the home and CA Concealed Carry. A minimum 2+ years of experience as a certified firearms instructor is required for this position.
PWG is the 3rd largest indoor gun range in the country within an $8 Million, 42,000 sq. foot facility, housing a retail store over 3,500 sq. feet and 42 shooting lanes. PWG hosts and supports over 1,000 law enforcement and military professionals a year with their training and qualification efforts. PWG also serves over 150,000 people visiting our retail store and over 40,000 enthusiasts shooting on our ranges.
The firearms training team is a core part of the value PWG brings the public, law enforcement and our members. We are seeking the right person to fit into our training team. The ideal candidate will have a background with significant teaching or public speaking experience. PWG always instructs from a position of experience and success, thus we expect our instructors to have the real-world experience to profess from when educating our students. This position requires working weekends.
Compensation for this position is dependent on experience. The salary for this position is a base of between $40,000 to $45,000, or if part time $18- $22 per hour, plus bonuses based on exceeding monthly minimum training hours. Typical instructor annual take home exceeds $55K+ for this position.
